| A remarkable gathering of ministers took place in
Louisville, KY on April 26-28, 2006. Over three thousand attended to
stand together for the truth, nature and power of Gospel. "Our
prayer is that God would use this time to re-center us all on this
most glorious and essential message." This
meeting was the vision of Ligon Duncan, C.J. Mahaney, Mark Dever and
Albert Mohler. They invited their heroes of the Gospel -- John
Piper, R.C. Sproul, and John MacArthur -- as special speakers.
I give thanks to God that I was able to attend
this conference. (You can see my photos at
T4TG Gallery.) The penetrating,
challenging and enriching messages are still impacting my heart and
ministry as I write this. What a marvelous time to worship God with
all those who came out of a love and passion for the God of the
Gospel. I believe this was a historic occasion and we will see the
reverberations of this meeting for years to come.
I appeal to you as a Christian or a minister of
the Gospel, let us stand for the biblical nature of the Gospel that
the Church may lift up a clear and powerful voice in our confused
times. Let us join faithfully to champion the purity of the Gospel
for the spiritual health of the Church, that people might be
redeemed, and most of all that God's fame and glory may shine
throughout the earth.
