• I do not know of a greater truth for any Christian to have than the proper distinction between the Law and the Gospel. Nothing could be more critical to saving faith than to understand the purpose of God's Law and its relationship to the nature of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

• Failure to understand leads to confusion about the very essentials of salvation. It also leads to either lawlessness or legalism in the Christian life.

• I do not believe any Christian or teacher of Scripture can be commended by God or properly minister to God's people without an adequate understanding of this truth.
