"Jesus Became 'Wrong' to make us 'Right'"

"There are two reasons any of us trust in our own "right-ness" and attack those who are not like us or disagree with us: They are pride and unbelief. At the root of our pride is the drive to be strong and to be right. We want to be strong or perceived as powerful. We want to have the control. We also love to be right. To make this point one person said, "I used to be conceited, but now I’m perfect." Just as our first parents, Adam and Eve, we want to have the control and we want to be right. Why? Because we believe in ourselves more than we believe in God. Because Adam distrusted God, and believed more in himself, he brought us all to ruin and the fallen condition we see now.

Jesus, the second Adam and the incarnation of God, trusted in the Father absolutely. His faith was not in himself but completely in the Father. When Christ came to the "tree test" he did not love himself more than the Father. He did not take the position of strength, nor did he seize the opportunity to make himself right. He took the weak and the wrong position stretched out on the Cross:

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. (Isaiah 53:7 KJG)

He did not use his tongue to make himself strong or proclaim himself right. Although he was the "Almighty God," and the "Lord our righteousness," he became our weakness and assumed our wrongness. He did that, not to condemn those who were different from and opposed to him; He did it to redeem them – even to "justify the wicked.""
